I have to say it, this album was f***ing great and i don’t know how there was so much hate in the live thread. i was almost in tears when the track about losing his family with the Donda quote repeating itself, transitioned in to Hurricane. that s*** was amazing. it really all feels like an update on kanye’s life, in his own weird way.
i’m not even a big kanye d*** rider, some of the vocals were messy, the album had some more boring parts to it, but he kept it f***ing real with this one. the contrast to JIK is so wild to me. it’s such an odd choice for this to be the Donda album, but i love that. i understand more where he’s at now, and it really feels full circle from the at least the Yandhi era.
Fr bro so much hate in the thread off this listen its mad. Like u im not a d***rider at all, found the last two albums really underwhelming and even TLOP took me a while to really get into - personally thought this live stream was on a similar level to that one.
Its also kinda dead seeing half the criticism on reddit (and to a lesser extent here) just being “there were no beat drops”
three hour yeezus is somewhere out there and we deserve to hear it
Yeah, he should've used the left over time on the stadium to play that
“You gotta be a d*** rider to have different opinions/taste as me” -every idiot on ktt since forever
Fanboy behavior man
HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO RUIN HURRICANE
yo yeah can somebody swing me whatever snippet y'all been hyping all this time because what the f***.
Some of y'all yes men are soft. It's not "hating" if you don't like something, as fans we aren't entitled to liking everything this man does. If anything the REAL fans are the ones who can distinguish what they like and dislike.
I vehemently defended JIK, ye, The Big Day and SB2H when they came out. JIK is still one of my most played albums today.
This Donda thing is crap
You sayin The Big Day better than this?
This dude went from 5000 hours making POWER to 5 hours making the whole album
😂😂😂😂😂
KTT sounded exactly like this thread during the TLOP live stream. 15 year old
You have to be a 15 year old to even begin to enjoy this collection of mumbling bullshit. FOH
he cut like 5 songs from Vegas tonight
i knew it..
it felt too short
i hope he drops them all
plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Late Registration
MBDTF
808s
Graduation
College Dropout
The Life of Pablo
Yeezus
Donda
Jesus is King
Ye
The album is literally not out yet
I'm giving the album a fair listen. If it sounds exactly like it did on the stream, then that's it. I swear on my life I'm not getting my hopes up again for a Ye album. This dude really duped me into believing that's he drop something undeniably great and the most of what I'm seeing is "well parts are great". I feel cheated by someone who I consider to be one of the greatest.
How did he dupe you into believing that? lol
If you thought it was going to be a classic because of the beats commercial you are going off the strength of nostalgia, not his recent output.
tbh id rather take this than ye or jik bc those albums felt so tame and boring to me.
this one doesn't have the craftsmanship i want from a kanye album but honestly it has some of his most ambitious work period.
i think fantasy will always be his perfect balance between that creative ambition and craftsmanship but honestly this is the first kanye album that had songs that i actually wanted to listen to again
Yea it was def way more ambitious than ye and JIK, and I love those albums
ye and JIK much more personal than this tho
there’s just no way that was the whole thing. we getting more
i’m thinking the same
