I have to say it, this album was f***ing great and i don’t know how there was so much hate in the live thread. i was almost in tears when the track about losing his family with the Donda quote repeating itself, transitioned in to Hurricane. that s*** was amazing. it really all feels like an update on kanye’s life, in his own weird way.
i’m not even a big kanye d*** rider, some of the vocals were messy, the album had some more boring parts to it, but he kept it f***ing real with this one. the contrast to JIK is so wild to me. it’s such an odd choice for this to be the Donda album, but i love that. i understand more where he’s at now, and it really feels full circle from the at least the Yandhi era.
The contrast definitely caught me off guard
they about to eat their words lol
Still dead at the recycled Pop Smoke verse
that was so random, i know the crowd was standing there like
Did people f*** with the album?
MY SECTION LOVED IT B THAT S*** WAS LIKE NO EXPERIENCE IVE EVER FELT B
time constraints maybe?
he was already pushing 2 hours late and probably didn’t wanna pay the fine
but the finished version of the album why wasn’t it there lol
boutta spin 4:44
Kill Jay Z
tbh one of the most solid albums of the last decade in both lyrics and production
Both of those albums still felt cohesive and each track was comprehensive.
This s*** sounds like Ye throwing everything at the wall hoping it would stick.
wtf are u talking about TLOP didn't sound cohesive at all when it dropped
he named this album after his mother
So we’re all in agreement here: we’re never getting hyped for a Kanye album again, right?
After this I’m officially done
I was done with JIK but still had little hope left but yeah it’s gone
I been itt defending this man all week, never again lol
Hov showed up and I didn't give a single f***.....and his verse was ass.
That should tell you everything
he probably thought the theme of the album was to not go hard
after Yeezus, Kanye West is a designer to me
a wonderful 10 years of solo music he gave us
My only question is, how the f*** do people like albums like Yeezus and TLOP and not f*** with what they heard today? It just doesn't fit. Y'all really like Kanye music or y'all are Beyonce fans and are just here for the laughs?
because Yeezus and TLOP were legendary pieces of art and this was a rushed collection of mumbling bullshit
