They literally wouldn’t release albums longer than 10 songs because it wouldn’t fit on the disc
No? People used to make money off people buying a CD and having a longer album usually gave you the benefit of selling at a higher price. The duration was important for that. These days people get payed not for the full album but per stream so artist try to get more money by making more shorter songs people can spin again and again. Thats why the 3rd verse died
