This isn’t really a hill i’m willing to die on i was being semi hyperbolic. I just like that it’s the most CDQ version of the OG hurricane beat.

In reality I view the Weeknd version as its own song entirely.

You just have to get past the Kanye vocoder part. Every other part is good. The drum mix is immaculate. Even the city of lost angles part is good once you get used to it.

i've grown to appreciate it since the first listening party. it's such a bizarre and unhinged take on hurricane, but it encapsulates the energy of that version of the album very well. same with the mumble demo of remote, i almost feel like the released version of remote is too "normal" compared to that version lol.

the old version that I bought is gone from iTunes, obv I have my downloaded files, but in order to get the new version with new changes, you have to buy it as it is separate (new, different) album, if that makes sense

I guess I'm confused. I have the original version paid for and downloaded. If iTunes has now changed what you're purchasing to the new version, then that's what I would do just to get the two new songs. I mean, I'd just buy the two new songs. Am I confused somehow, are you asking something different?
