Irko spazzed on the final mix for Pure Souls, soooooooo good

surprised he was the one tasked with the mix for the album but he did the job well

For the most part (besides the outro of Pure Souls funnily enough) it's a very simple mix and doesn't really add anything besides making what's already there sound good and clearer, I wonder if we would've got more texturing on it if Mike Dean didn't go home early and did it instead, probably

pretty cool to hear from Irko that Kanye directed the mix too as opposed to delegating the overseeing to someone else

he always directs the mix, I know people would like to place the blame on Consequence for JIK but it was Kanye’s request that they make Follow God sound dirtier that delayed the album

the way IRKO said it made it seem he spoke to Kanye directly, but of course at the end of the day Kanye directs it whether he does it or through someone else

I like the dirty mix for Follow God but always was curious what a clean mix would sound for it

it adds so much character to the song it would sound squeaky clean and super glossy without it now, and I think I would much prefer it with it

There's a new mix or just new again and KMSA

It really sucks how ye had no other option but to redo remote. Those autotune takes were something special

The song got so much better after he redid the take, I get liking the raw unfinished s*** but the new take is so much more smooth and fitting for the song
