I think embracing and much more so appreciating that process and having as much insight as we do into it (even beyond the leaks, the whole listening party/24 hour LP2 steam is insane to me conceptually), whether it's in your own creation or that of another artist, is all about accepting that you might like some iterations more and accepting that we can't understand everything.

Tell the Vision ass to most of us but we can only experience it within the confines of one album. For all we know Tell the Vision might be wild asf to Ye not only in the context of the album but might have some germinating threads in other ideas he's considering for other projects (and not even just music).

Or maybe he didn't think about it at all, who knows

Agree about Never Abandon Your Family as I find it integral to the narrative as well as truly real.

Tell the Vision I've come around to enjoying. As far as what Kanye thought, this has been said before but it has to have to do with Pop Smoke passing, speaking from heaven, saying thematically relevant things like mama we made it and thank God we made it. I find Kanye albums to be increasingly conceptual and narrative driven and this fits perfectly in that regard.

I don't think ive ever lost my s*** more than when Believe What I Say came on at LP3. First time hearing Off The Grid and Paise God were good reactions too.

Was about 4/5AM here and I was so tired - but that song playing woke me uppppp. Had been dying to hear it for too long.

    Damn

Never thought about Tell the Vision that way, thank you for the insight

Gonna keep that in mind for the next time I listen to the album in full.

If you feel that Never Abandon Your Family is integral to the narrative, how do you feel about it being left off?

Pretty bad honestly. Because like you said, it's a better song than some that made the album. To me, a song like Never Abandon Your Family is the kind of song that is so raw that it becomes instantly legendary, especially on an album that is about loss, family, divorce, and Donda herself, who appears on the track. Knowing of its existence hurts because it would unquestionably reinforce the album's themes and pain. Especially when certain critics are criticizing the album for sounding unfinished, the album could use another song like that just to drive the point home that maybe it's not supposed to sound finished.

Life of the Party is also integral, too, obviously.
