It’s funny as s*** Kanye stans tryna do everything they were so against being done to Donda last week
But it’s okay cause it’s Drake
society
brutal.
when this dogshit pregnant emoji andy warhol pop art album cover was released, i thought there was NO WAY the album could be worse than its packaging. i was wrong.
drake clearly hasn't learned his lesson. views, more life, scorpion, etc. these projects are all stupidly bloated; the few notable tracks they DO have are hopelessly muddled by the glut of bilge that surrounds them. i was really hopeful that drake was going to try to make a more focused and pared down project with certified lover boy.
Not. A. Chance.
this s*** is an hour and a half of trademark Drake Boredom. this dude has not cared about releasing an interesting piece of art for half a decade and certified lover boy doesn't show any interest in changing that. he's unabashedly just riding out the fame for another paycheck. i thought there was no way kanye would come out on top of this release cycle feud, but drake somehow managed to make that happen. as per his brand, drake just sounds bored and aloof over a bunch of middling and forgettable beats that definitely cost an order of magnitude too much.
rick ross' 40 or so seconds of airtime on this record are the only memorable ones through the entire tracklist. 21 and cudi do fine too. whatever. literally every feature outshines drake himself. this dude can't even rap on beat, and sounds like he's actively trying to run away from the rhythm on 7am on bridle path.
crazy that lady gaga's chromatica remix record is the best thing to come out this week. i'm going to go listen to that. i'm tired. i'm done expecting things from drake.
peace.
Matthew Williams right next to Kanye
right ?
damn my post in the kanye vs drake thread might go double platinum
