Thinking about the first time I heard MBDTF rn. It was the weekend it came out, I was home alone and I found a stream online because I didn’t have a credit card to buy the album. I started playing it and was like, “fuck this is tight” cranked the volume and proceeded to lay on the floor and listen for the entire duration of the album.

Critics are an essential part of art whether you like them or not, and good critics challenge assumptions or shed new light, and from there an album's legacy begins to form. It's fascinating to see it take hold or change, too.
