Album starts with jail (guess whose going to jail tonight, metaphor for him being trapped by his sins and trauma) where he’s completely secular and his whole life is f***ed up. Very earthly type songs with some religious references. Mentions to the things holding him back like wealth riches clothes loss from gang violence etc.24 first overtly Christian song besides god breathed. Heaven and hell is like the switch up to second half of album where it’s way more religious, and he’s getting a lot more serious. Album ends with him saying he’s finally free and lamenting on the miracles god has done on his life. Also burned down childhood home or wanted to during construction to life to signify letting go of his burdening past

i mean, if it works for you sure

i still like it as a later track though

    I can and I will.

Chance would've sounded so good on 24 and I'll double down on it and if you disagree with me you're misogynistic I don't make the rules

If you like 24 you like KayCyy vocals I don’t make the rules

think it had like 20k but then it got deleted and then there was no donda thread for awhile. so if that never happened we'd be past 50k

    yes

and you can hear some mixing errors during jay z verse

    Preciate this heavy

Why make that distinction at 24 though because like you said God Breathed is overtly Christian?

Idk god breathed is weird. It’s like the pull of Jesus is there but Kanye still is trapped by the material things in his life and not trying to undo it at all just bury it

Isn’t till he remembers donda that he begins to really dig into religion. Never ansndon your family being between kmsa and Jesus lord originally also helps this cause nayf he’s talking about how he doesn’t want to make the mistakes of his father than next track he talks a lot about family situation. And actually starts to do the heavy lifting of attaining freedom through for
