this sunday me and the family are going on a hike together, im in the backseat, and the carride is almost 1 hour long its 13:00 something my time (give or take)
anyways, some dude made a post about the what the final tracklist was gonna look like (which turned out to be true) i think this had happened before we drove, anyways, out of F***ING NOWHERE Bu posts "Donda the album 8AM PST" and multiple shazaams seem to verify the leaked tracklist + their names (especially the "part 2"-s) so BRUH. im thinking to myself: "oh boy, my first listen of Donda is gonna be on a literal mountain top with the sun shining on me!? AAAAAA" so i get real excited and start to listen some listening party rips on my headphones, rocking back and forth in my car seat
im refreshing WSE and spotify at the speed of light. it hits 13:59 then 14:00 and DONDA IS OUT. BUT. NOT ON SPOTIFY for f***s sake, i had a mini-heart attack, but atleast it was out on all the other platforms so im stoked as f***. i figured "hey! i still have Apple Music from the listening party!" .... turns out i deleted it to save space 💀💀💀 and i can't re-download it... because im STILL out of space lmao. so basically im stuck refreshing spotify... at 14:12 SHARP Donda appears in my spotify. i hit play. im f***ing smiling so hard fam. i get a few minutes into the second song. and... guess what f***ing happens? I LOSE CELLPHONE SERVICE. 400+ days after Donda is announced, multiple delays, Bu announces the album out of f***ing nowhere one hour before drop time, im stuck on Spotify cause i deleted apple music, and had to wait another 12 minutes and the album ACTUALLY drops this time and the universe f***ing blocked me in allllll possible ways. i tried to download the album soooo f***ing fast when i realized what was happening, but guess what i saw? "you need to go back online to download" jesus. f***ings. christ.
