man coming off the worst year of my life, most of which was spent in a suicidal depression, hearing ye say "we gonna be okay" hits a different type of different
I’m right there with you bro, last year was a struggle mentally, we made it tho. We gonna be okay truly
I think he means its based on punishment instead of rehabilitation
that would be a much more accurate, albeit simple, take
Jail as an outro is kind of like after Kanye explains throughout the album why so many of us do the things we do whether right or wrong we are not perfect.
So it’s like the final statement. If all the things in my past are going to stay with me. “Yeah well guess I’m going to jail tonight.”
It’s not an outro, it’s a mission statement.
It’s just like On Sight.
Ye is a monster.
And so it’s his greatest fear. What happens when you’re a monster? He’s LOST his freedom.
Imagine Ye without freedom.
He’s starting low, as low as he can, as low as I Thought About Killing You.
That’s Superman without his powers.
So this is like the first football kickoff.
We gotta climb out of jail.
And we gotta have EMPATHY for everyone.
Yes. Everyone.

Ppl be so mad that their favorites love Kanye lol
I agree that Jail works really well as sort of a scene setter. In an album about trying to put your past behind you, starting with a song about fearing those past deeds catching up to you makes sense
refuse to call a censored album amazing
no cussing/vulgarity is one thing, but releasing an album that silences words is honestly stupid and i aint lettin it go
