because saying something like this is ignorant
its transphobic ofc but it comes from a place of ignorance at its core
generally I at least try and let people learn rather than just banning cause I think that just banning off rip just drives people like that further into their views instead of addressing that ignorance
I also think theres a distinction between someone asking him what he thinks about transgender people and him saying it and him actively trying to make a platform for that view

maybe thats a controversial take on it and feel free to tell me the issue w it but I know that people can get trapped in s*** like the alt right pipeline and I dont think that the way to get them out of it is to disengage from them entirely like that

good call.

even if it's incredibly ignorant, if he is at least being civil about his views and open for discussion he shouldn't get banned. he doesn't seem hateful and maybe with the right insight and perspective he can change his mind if we're shutting the door on someone because they're misinformed they will never have the possibility to change
