You’re arguing about listening to an artist when people are mad at Kanye for COLLABORATING with Manson currently, not listening to music from the past.
It's not about listening to music from the past.
All those people i listed above are glorified and adored to this day despite the s*** they did during their life and aren't seen by the general public as bad persons. Their legacy isn't defined by the immoral and illegal things they did during their life ...
But twitter and this new age of social justice warriors want people wicked behaviours to define them entirely; whenever people bring up your name you should be called a rapist, a sexual abuser, a wife beater, an homphobe etc. If you want to be this righteous and judgemental good for you, but some people just understand that humans aren't just their mistakes or bad behaviors, that's why we can appreciate artists like Pac, Bowie and many others despite knowing what they did.
