he wouldn't drop a single after a live album listening party (ALLEGEDLY)
who knows
Drums on that song are something else
Lukewarm take maybe but 808s got some of his best and most innovative production to date still
why do people think he’s just dropping a single this week
definitely album this week
Kanye never drops singles
really taking a look back at things you would expect this to be a dark album
why do people think he’s just dropping a single this week
definitely album this week
I think we're not getting anything for smme time still
Lukewarm take maybe but 808s got some of his best and most innovative production to date still
for sure
It’s influence is obvious but very few artists have really even done that sound directly it’s still so distinctive

I think we're not getting anything for smme time still
Why is that everything points to Friday now
Kanye never drops singles

oh yea I’m not saying it should be removed entirely from him as a person and justifies all his s***ty things he does
But it’s when people are mad at his family for wanting to get him help and being worried he’s gonna kill himself and at the same are saying he was misdiagnosed and isn’t actually bipolar. Like damn
yeah i agree w/ the part about misdiagnosis
I just think its important to not invalidate or trivialize the expressions of people struggling with mental illness, or (like you said) dissociate their illness from their overal personhood
for example, referencing your last line, if people had assumed that his tweets about the kardashians trying to forcibly hospitalize him etc. were just "crazy rambling" it would've been easy for the kardashians to fabricate a narrative about how they just wanted to help him - and use that to entrap him
in reality we later found out that he absolutely did not want to be in that environment or around that family anymore. and I think many people struggling with mental illness have had such experiences on a smaller scale
he isn’t the type of artist for that
yea he been dropping singles backwards released since yeezus.... like singles would be chose after the album release to see which songs are more poppin'
for sure
It’s influence is obvious but very few artists have really even done that sound directly it’s still so distinctive
I love how it mixes ambient synths with strings, old mechanical drum machines with tribal percussions, all that with that lo fi grain, it's just so unique and beautiful
he wouldn’t do a listening party and going to rolling loud then
Jesus is King listening parties left a mark on me.
