Rarely has there been another rapper the world unanimously agreed shouldn't be a star.
Vic was legit great though
He had multiple different sounds that could’ve broke him through as an artist he just wanted to do what he wanted creatively which was wildly different project to project and continually alienated his fanbase
If he’d wanted to be a star he could’ve easily stuck with innanetape sound or with his more dance/house sound or even with his there’s a lot going on sound and he would’ve broken through fully into the mainstream
Wale is a star
I wish Wale were here to read this. Im sure it would make his day.
I didn’t like what vic was putting out but there was so much unnecessary hating going on
i s2g if thursday night comes and goes and the record still hasn't hit streaming by friday morning and all social media is by that point just a collection of 13-17 second long distorted phone clips of random moments from songs
This an absolute classic
!https://youtu.be/5jUGAVUwhRUhis best song imo

Didn’t help he was kind of in the shadow of Chances popularity In 2016 and he wanted nothing to do with Chance at the time.

Fr
This site so lame with the way it decides on artists it just won’t even discuss
Like you still can’t even make a thread about Vic’s music here without everyone s***ting on it and you KNOW they don’t listen to what he puts out
I wish Wale were here to read this. Im sure it would make his day.

Vic needed the humbling though. You at MSG and you’re given the opportunity to keep the party going and you play Danger????
Young Thug got the right idea playing his f***ing bop.
When "With Them" came on
everything from the church event to rolling loud was planned, ain’t no way we don’t get this s*** Friday
This an absolute classic
!https://youtu.be/5jUGAVUwhRUThat honestly is a great song all Vic Mensa jokes aside.
He f***ed up not staying in that lane or reaching out to Kaytranada.
This an absolute classic

Too bad some of its leaders were… questionable to some

Yeah I think if he sat down and developed instead of jumping around he’d be in a very different position
But we can’t force that on every artist
