Yeah I think that the movies have always been separate from the plot of the series and s*** however I think the way they’ve been doing them lately is “more lighthearted with legit stakes if something went wrong.”

Like the movie clearly is a f***ing joke to begin with, these niggas literally looking for the dragonballs for super superficial s*** (the Frieza s*** saying he wanted to get taller is hilarious to me ). Then it pivots into Broly and how abusive his father is (which I think is interesting too because while his father definitely loves and cares about him, I think he was too twisted on getting back at King Vegeta that he put that in front of his child.)

I do hope they make him a staple. It seems like the movies are a lot more canon at this stage, or at least will eventually be introduced into the plot. Like BoGs became the first season for Super, etc.
