Im not a weeb either so idk bout the tsundere reference but i can see where you’re coming from but that would really kill my appetite for DBS
I’ve always seen Goku as the main character and the necessary one tbh. I f*** with his energy heavy idk why, maybe its because he isn’t as complicated or developed or messed up as other Z fighters. But he embodies the Series wholesome ability to make you feel empowered to fight evil with an unwavering sense of eagerness and indifference. He is the essential good guy without coming accross too moral or grandstanding. He’s innocent, yet a painful guy to watch and listen to. He’s goofy but super scary and badass all at the same time. With Vegeta i just see him more as a bad guy who redeemed himself all the way up the ranks to number 2. But i don’t personally gravitate towards him or his character and temper.

Tsundere basically means edgy. Like that’s how I see it anyways. Think Gary Oak, he’s just a f***ing twat but ultimately not a bad dude, he’s just so unbearable at times (again this is how I’ve seen it used, idk if that’s totally right lol).
I agree though, Goku embodies what the series is trying to get at. He’s just a pure soul through and through. No malice whatsoever. Literally just wants to push himself and fight strong people and doesn’t exactly get the stakes at times which usually f***s over everyone until he pulls through with the W.
I do like Goku, but I think the other Z fighters make the show more interesting because they contribute to the parts that he lacks.
