The concept is the same as every album. Kanye goes on a journey. I just don’t feel like it’s expressed as well here. For one, the story keeps getting interrupted so we can pray. Jesus is King was ABOUT Kanye’s journey to proselytize. It was worship songs. This tries to be everything, and ends up being nothing. Every Kanye album has been reliable in that it’s given me a peak into his mind at the time of release. The production helps sell that here. It comes out in moments.
