DONDA had my wife tearing up to a Jay Electronica verse b

Ima stop after this off the grid listen tho
DONDA had my wife tearing up to a Jay Electronica verse b
I legitimately screamed when I heard jay elec, my girl laughed, and then he proceeded to let go of one of his hardest verses ever
Makes me hope act 2 comes in the future soon because I need to hear Kanye rough love
Anybody who doesn't skip the Pop Smoke joint is a psycho
Anyone who skips the pop smoke joint has never been outside or had their d*** sucked
Ok my least favorite song is donda donda donda lol
Now listen to it again as heartbeats
There’s not a lot of pure Kanye rapping. I’d say it’s about 50/50 where Kanye himself stands out vs places where feats and beats stand out. But every feature does great.
There’s a lot of Kanye singing a la 808s I guess but more like what people think of with like shmg and tg16. And the Kanye singing works really well on this project. When Kanye does rap though it is insane
Edit: based on what you said about Pablo there will probably be moments where you don’t like it. It’s kind of all over the place in the way Pablo was. But it has a lot of elements to me that remind me of scrapped projects. Like this was the project he’s been wanting to make for a while
But didn’t know how too
We should be glad Kanye isn't raping..
TLOP did have alot of features but IMO Kanye feels much more present in the album than at Donda. The features are much more noticeable on Donda
I agree for sure
A lot of these songs sound more like Kanye creating an atmosphere for other artists
TLOP felt like Kanye creating an atmosphere fore himself and featured an artist

Nobody is getting head to a Playschool Piano, foh

oh how many listens did u get in?
Not sure maybe Praise God??
I could totally see a DMX and Pusha feature on Jesus Lord too
So many rappers could float all over Jesus Lord, one of the best produced tracks from Kanye in a while
I could see Kendrick on Praise God too, also strangely No Child Left Behind or even Junya with his Kung Fu Kenny flow.
Ok my least favorite song is donda donda donda lol
it goes on uncomfortably long, but maybe that was the intended effect
You single handedly raising my hype levels even more as a Yeezus/808s/JIK lover
It’s not electronic in the sense of yeezus though. Very melodic. A lot of organ. Sounds Christian but electronic in a sense. I’d say it’s a lot more like bound 1 than bound 2
Kanye cemented himself as the greatest hip-hop performer and he's up there for all time. Seriously who does it like Kanye does it? What other rapper/band/artist debuts their album on the world stage like this. Stays in a stadium for two weeks to finish it and put on a performance like that. So many iconic moments. He basically got every relevant rapper right now on it. Idk what more I can say. Kanye really pulled through in the largest way and I couldn't be any happier. These past few years have sucked without him around
it goes on uncomfortably long, but maybe that was the intended effect
no way that wasn't the intention
its supposed to be uncomfortable
