Many of you, especially the sincerest Kanye aficionados of this section from back in the KanyeLive days, will remember okstatetw. He was the reason I became a Kanye fan to begin with, and the reason I signed up for my own KanyeLive account back in 2009, before we all migrated here together in 2010 and the site became the hotspot that it was. Although I eventually became the hotheaded moderator of the Lupe section on this forum in its heyday, okstatetw and I were both immensely active in this section until 2014, when he and I ventured away to attempt our own Rap Chronicle digital magazine. We succeeded for a while, but eventually, personal issues of health and financing derailed our joint effort. We are still close friends to this day, however; I'm now halfway through journalism school, studying consumer advocacy, and okstatetw has finished college, working as a successful recruiter for an employment company less than an hour away from my university. Even as young adults in our mid-twenties, we follow Kanye's career with the same enthusiasm as we did a decade ago, and okstatetw wanted me to share this message he had primed up for this forum tonight.
