why are you guys writing essays, man.
the fact that of the extremely few bts looks we have of ye in the studio, that song is one of them
but yeah that sounds about right, i was in shambolics the day the charlamagne interview dropped and i thought he was in this amazing mental space and then tmz happened deadass like 2 hours later. I can’t even imagine the chaos of ktt because it was chaos not even being on there
Pi'erre sat in there like
"damn I just wanted to make beats. . ."

The Undeniable Influence of Kanye West (1461 words)
Kanye Omari West, an icon of hip-hop, pop culture, fashion and music in general. Kanye Omari West, a person belittled against and a person subjected to a life of racism and hate. Born on June 8th, 1977, Donda West, West’s mother, always knew he was destined for greatness, but did she know her son would turn out to be the Kanye West, a man lacking the respect he deserves for transforming a big part of the music we listen to on this very day? West came onto the scene in the late nineties but didn’t release The College Dropout until 2004, an album that took everybody by surprise. Kanye West changed the gangster filled rap genre by releasing his positive, soulful debut album, changing the way rappers dress, and paving the way for a whole new style of introspective lyrics and soul-inspired rap production in the mainstream.
Post-Trump/TMZ, pre-Wyoming albums Kanye sxn was
33% hate
33% migration to other sxns
33% it's performance art bro
1% kanye is right

what grade did you get for this?
what was ye section like during the wyoming era? I didn’t have an account and wasn’t on the site that much that era
from my experiences it was dry as f*** and also filled with lots of shambles, i would even say the hype for ye and ksg was f***ing low compared to the other eras
ye sxn got better with the yandhi era (thank god). that era was f***ing funny with all the memes

JIK era is one of my favorite album release threads on ktt, s*** was chaos for a month straight
especially because most of the users that were around for donda rollout were also present in that thread
JIK and Ye are not far off from being demos in terms of sound quality. If you really wanna split hairs about what I said, I would say that Ye was inarguably rushed and JIK had more time put into it but was relatively stripped down - Selah's finished version is basically a click track with a gospel choir, for example. Both albums are poorly mixed and objectively don't have the same kind of attention to detail that Ye made himself famous for. It's cool that you love these albums man but for better or worse they are slight in comparison to the rest of his catalogue.
When I mention the BWWIS sample proving that he's aiming big, I meant as this is evidence he is likely going for more of a mass appeal with this project. I find it hard to believe that you really think Ye is not concerned with his place in the musical zeitgeist all of a sudden. I think maybe he WASN'T as concerned about that in the last couple of years, but after the mainstream reception for Ye/JIK he knows it's time to reassert his relevance. We'll have to see what happens I guess.
what do you mean by "sound quality"
if its about the mix like I said before, theres a difference between artistic choice (which you have every right to not enjoy) versus laziness, if it was laziness we wouldn't have had the dirty mix cause he would've just stuck with the clean one lol
the songs on Ye were worked on in July 2017 at the latest so not really rushed, it gets a wrap for being rushed cause it was all re-written weeks before, but that's just the technical lyrical component cause the lyrics were based on thoughts expressed by Ye in notebooks he'd been writing since he was in the hospital in 2016
he was saying in August 2018 after ye that he knew people weren't playing ye the album or specifically the single All Mine like they were playing Drake, it was on his mind then and he still chose to make something important to him again as opposed to try to achieve mega star musical relevance again
maybe this'll be the time he leaves his vision of personal music behind and drop something that (while still being great) is just because the fans want it, but when has he ever done stuff just for us and not for himself
random but i hope ye’s delivery has a bit more swagger/more confident sounding on this
some songs on JIK didn’t fr even sound like him

Yes

it was nearly a year long chaotic
the yandhi thread on KTT1 was first pretty silent but he definitely shifted something with his SNL appearance 2018. ye sxn wasn't the same since.
also don't forget all the sunday services
especially the atlanta one. i laughed so much
What sound y'all think Kanye will tapping into for his next album? Donda was meant to be like a teaser for his presidential race, so it felt like it was filled with more political stuff and had a very 'clean' sound like Ye.
Feel like this will be more banger heavy like TLOP but with more deep cuts or like a combination of Yeezus and Ye.
BWIS just sounds like a Doo Wop remix
I mean you have heard 20 seconds of it?
YANDHI/JIK KTT1 thread was absurdly good, iconic moments there
JIK in KTT2 was fun but then the album dropped and the vibes were off
