I guess the root of it is that the protest can happen without an organization behind it. S*** we could protest tomorrow with no police footage sacrifice of a black life but do we ? There were and are many organizers of protest that ran protest outside of BLM

The way capitalism embraced and sold the activism back to people , the way it was a social media trend so people felt like changing their profile pics was doing something, play the game until people got all it's protesting done so the status quo can be resumed with absolutely nothing of consequence changing
Doesn't make anything Kanye do make sense tho and people got right to be mad at him but bruh is never gonna change. It's not like he walked back his Trump support, or any of the things he's done
this is facts. maybe it’s a little mean spirited for Kanye to poke fun at the failure of BLM in this way, but i’m kind of surprised at the big deal everyone is making of this.

You see the arrest rate or go to the protest in Chicago? Protest is only so effective. Yes awareness is something and walking in a police designated circle is something and a sense of unity or not feeling alone but it only accomplishes so much.
Even with all the protest you have Biden saying it would be dumb to defund the police so cycles continue
