Big faxx
He got Looking for Trouble which was like pulling teeth for Kanye to put it out who didn't want too lmao
None of them talk about him on their own too which is f***ed up
Cole has always been my least fav out the "big 3" although I love Friday night lights mixtape, born sinner, truly yours ep series & fhd2014
Idk why he gets shafted like that by a lot of artists - maybe it's an attitude thing or sumn
Man I was a stan of cole fnl days to the point I forced myself to like sideline story lmao. At some point you just mature up and realise it ain't that deep. He definitely the worst outta the big 3 and even when he does the "shit talking" I feel like he's content to just be in the top 3 discussion even if he's not top 1 and that is why he will never go toe to toe. He has improved lyrically but personally I've been less interested in him the more he drops...just something missing. The other two just do it better
People really hyped Born Sinner up back then
Multiple people I knew had that dumbass crown hoodie
I even hyped it lmao I used to be a stan but I liked Yeezus too. The "real hip-hop" crowd kept saying how much better it is
yeah i think Donda V1 felt a bit like this
but people are delusional saying it's perfect as is
one of the better songs is Melrose
ye should just peace it up his feature carry in this era

Couple things I’m happy about is I never hyped up Cole and never had a “real hip hop” phase
I was an Odd Future fan tho so I guess I’ll take that one
crazy how the title came back around huh
yall might have forgot but ye was wearing confederate flags in yeezus era
the red hat being the thing that made people mad was so confusing to me

the "middle child" forreal
i feel for him but at the same he also did a lot of not needed s*** too
one of the more stranger career receptions to a rapper that popular and a fixture
I was young and dumb I will admit - I only f***ed with Paranoid, Coldest Winter and See You in My Nightmares for the longest
The sound and especially the song writing just resonated more n more as I got older till it then fully popped a lil after High School
I got vivid memories of playing RuneScape and listening to the demo versions of some of the songs on YouTube
great times
Crazy how we all discussing the memories this man has given us while waiting for him to tweet the most unhinged schizophrenic s*** you’ve ever seen
We will never have a Kanye west again

Idk where you would even place him when it's all said and done. The body of work of Kendrick and Drake (earlier work) just s*** on Coles and I don't believe he's dropping the fall off....it's been hyped too many years that it's never gonna be a classic or live up to it. I'd happily take the L if it is

me with LR when my older brother used to play it on low when me n him slept in the same room - and when i would play my gba but i was never a fan of bit music so i was always playing cds during gba time

Especially with the mess of the whole beef on top
he will always have a core tho so thats better than most

Crazy because it’s still like a top 4 Cole album in his discography
That’s how meh his discography is overall
Cole being mentioned as one of the "top 3" never made any sense to me. His actual music doesn't warrant it.

I feel like a lot of those ambient settings with music in the background are underrated regarding how you grow fonder of it as we get older fr

It's not even a bad album but it's not great either. He was still learning the ropes...it didn't help having Kendrick on your neck dropping quality solos

big faxx - your mind is growing right along with it but you dont even notice or know
Never seen an album age as fast as vultures
S*** went from “this is decent” to “yeah I ain’t ever playing this again” in like 12 hours
It's crazy because it's true lol
I really enjoyed it on the first listen but I think I stopped listening to it after 2 months and completely forgot about the tracks that I actually was a huge fan of
Don't think I even finished Vultures 2

There’s a few good moments on it…Land Of The Snakes is a cool Outkast flip. Power Trip is still phenomenal. But overall? It’s very middle of the road. Average rapping and production.
Yeezus and Mac Millers WMWTSO are far superior albums.
