i think what's also especially sad is like, I don't share the politics of the Obama/hillary/biden side of the democrat party, but at least when they put forward someone like Obama they are putting forward an exceptional centre right/centrist candidate. Biden has nothing to offer at this point, so now would have been the perfect election to let someone like bernie have their shot.
I'll never forget how they kept slandering his name just to get rid of him as a candidate then bully him to endorse Biden like that.
But I guess you are right, this could be good for the future of the left.....hopefully

the only thing close to comparable is Brexit partly happened because our party of government was scared of a third party running as a uk independence party (the name makes you wanna vomit right
) so it pushed them to have a referendum.but idk if bernie could push biden or trump more than he already has done on any issues. and he's not a one issue guy anyway (healthcare is a focus sure but he's still not one issue)

yeah tbf bernie made some proper strategic mistakes in the week or so leading up to south carolina
s*** really turned for him. centrists like pelosi were actually preparing to have him as the nominee cos it seemed so inevitable.
he ran the best campaign but unfortunately if you're on the left you are held to a higher standard. that's not what anybody wants to hear but i think in the future there has to be a strategy as a response to that from whoever becomes the most prominent left politican over the next few years.
