Because if you’re African American or Afro Caribbean your last name was most likely given to your family by a slave owner.

It’s a name. Hell if anything those names should’ve been used for reparations. Point is that changes nothing. What does changing your last name do for you? That’s your family tree. You can remove something without completely disbanding it.
And I’m sure slave masters had those names I listed as well. That’s the point.

I’m just explaining to you that black Americans names literally come from slavery. That’s what makes it a “slave name”
