I'm not sure if I agree with restorative justice or not for cases regarding rape (personally), it's something that I have very hard times coming to terms with knowing that if someone were to sexually assault me or someone I was close with I'd want the worst for them

Often, such cases happen after especially "wild" sex, like group s***or cheating. It seems to be a way that the girl reclaims her "purity", because she is ashamed for what she did because of cultural restraints, by claiming that it wasn't consensual even though she liked it in the moment.

This is an example why we shouldn't "slut shame" because it leads to needless shame, regret and with that needless accusations of what would otherwise have been consensual intercourse being re-framed as rape or assault as a sort of coping mechanism.

(I'm not saying this is what Justin did - I am speaking in general terms, Justin's case is different. And what I am referring to is not the norm, just edge cases)
