No one is forced believe all victims of sexual assault. You should show empathy towards someone who claims to have been sexually assaulted but there's nothing wrong with suspending belief/judgement. Anybody is capable of lying.

Few women pursued legal action at first (true) but lawyers advise against it because their argument is most likely weak (against the richer, accused rapist) and getting settlements is actually easier

ARCADE GOONThe problem is the longer you wait, the harder it will be to prove. You would need to check dates and locations, and ideally right after the encounter DNA tests would have to have been made, and you would want witnesses who can confirm you were there at the hotel, check the trashbin for condoms, and so on. After 6 years it becomes very hard to prove anything
A lot of times people don’t realize they’re being sexually assaulted in the moment it happens. Often times people will think it’s normal, and that’s how it’s suppose to be.
Hell even me, as a shorty I ain’t realize I had been sexually assault by my babysitter until late last year.
