Like bro we shootings the s*** I am not even saying it to be disrespectful because as other poster said they both have a lord of the rings style to it and you here calling me dumb like Loki and Steppenwolf don’t serve the same purpose to darkseid thanos. With a team that slowly bonds while fighting horde enemies. With the death of characters who were their biggest fans / believed in them being their motivator .

Nah let’s really take it there…

    Guess the movie

    • Based on a flagship comic book superhero team comprised of six heroes
    • The trinity of the team includes: an armored billionaire playboy tech CEO, an ancient god, and a Boy Scout who is brought back from being buried in order to lead the team
    • One of the team members is a dreamy, bearded, long haired man who wields the power to control an element. He carries a powerful magic weapon and is the to-be king of an ancient land. We see his first heroic appearance in the team’s early encounter with…
    • An ancient, monological horned bad guy who carries a staff. His first appearance is when he comes through a portal to steal a magical cube. In the process, he slaughters defenders of the cube. At the end of the sequence, he retrieves the cube and escapes
    • The horned bad guy is working for another bad guy in the shadows while being condescended by the shadow bad guy’s hooded right hand from time to time. This hooded right hand bad guy also warns the horned bad guy of the consequences of his failure to fulfill the mission
    • The horned bad guy has direct history and animosity with the ancient god team member
    • A magic space box opens a portal. The horned bad guy seeks to obtain this box. The team attempts to understand the box for most of the film and keep it out of the bad guy’s reach
    • One of the team members is a recluse and victim of a freak accident that should have killed him, yet his power saved his life. Although his immense power feels like a curse and makes him a monster, he will see it has been a blessing all along. He also hits it off with the quippy, red and gold armor-clad team member
    • The team operates in a large high tech, highly weaponized secret base. They travel in an advanced aircraft
    • The question of “will the most physically powerful member be awakened?” is posed. This is answered at the midpoint when he finally awakens; angry, shirtless and muscle bound. He immediately fights the team, and has a one on one hand to hand bout with the ancient god member. Then he leaves
    • The regular human character sacrifices himself at the midpoint
    • The horned bad guy escapes with the magical cube. He goes to a tower in a city to house the cube to start a terraforming process
    • The five members go to the streets of the city to battle the horned bad guy and his incoming swarm of faceless alien drones
    • The team guards the magic space cube from the bad guys while attempting to close its portal
    • The most powerful member returns to join the team as their trump card during the final battle with a badass one liner before delivering a mighty punch. He lays a memorable and crowd pleasing beat down on the horned bad guy
    • During the final battle, a team member is suddenly shot to the ground in their left rib by a faceless alien drone. Another team member knocks the drone out of frame before offering help to the member who was shot
    • At the 11th hour of the final battle, the red and gold armor-clad hero (who has just been shot by one of the faceless alien drones) rushes to stop an earth-shattering explosion, risking his own life. He delivers a touching message to his loved one on the way to saving the day
    • The team stands together in the daylight as the camera pans to each member, then finally to the entire team. They are now assembled
    • The billionaire member, standing next to his loved one, establishes a new base for the team using his own huge home
    • After the final battle, the hooded bad guy reports to the shadow bad guy. The shadow bad guy prepares to wage war against Earth and the team of heroes
    • Ends with a stinger of a villain talking to another villain - who is revealed to be a fan favorite from the comics - as a tease for the future

Rooster shooter about to hit you with 8 question marks but yes from first view( I saw early premiere with Snyder cut friend before even really reading reviews ) this is how I felt and why I think it did well . The sad part is I think people think first team up movies have to go like this when they really don’t

Warner Brothers really has no motivation to feed a fanbase that

    1. Already hates them
    2. Will continue to hate them and after its released call for it to be contiued
    3. Further fraction the fanbase

The worse part is JL2 and 3 were just going to continue along trope writing even more. Snyder fans can't even admit Terrio just didn't fully have the sauce.

"They really need a legion of doom of some kind so bad. Although 1 villain works for MCU. It may work for some DCCU movies, but they are all so powerful when working together it needs to be a proper nemesis on multiple scales both Bizzaro and Doomsday are just strong and no other level of engagement. As well the team together could take down both pretty easily from what I remember"
