For the amount they are investing in such key characters of Batman and Superman / league THEY GAVE HIM A LOT OF FREEDOM. Like I get it WB pieces of s*** etc. they gave him a lot of freedom . Solos he never had a clear plan for and rushed to do justice league after bvs . Bvs reception was so off that immediately doing justice league was set up tough

But when he had to step away because of his daughter they took his vision and s***ted on it

Turned Justice League into a whole different movie.

That issue with hamada can’t really in any way be solved by tweeting at him daily . Also when johns originally joined justice league many Snyder fanboys were like “ F*** yes he does so great on comics and cw shows” . I’m more at a point of how do you rectify what happened there when some of the very people that did that aren’t at dc anymore and those that are faced no noticeable consequences. Thus rebel moon and his own property the best move , he adapted watchmen , 300, countless dc characters where he was beholden to someone. Whether his daughter passed ( rip) or not WB would eventually find a reason to shift especially with what he does with the characters . Dc is damn near going to be a gunn verse going forward. Even the cut felt very Marvel at times

I more mean Snyder deserves freedom from these characters too because every movie in this arc is in some ways apology for decisions he made in last, retconning them or trying to fix them.Examples

1. Lois is the Key- Has really no payoff of any kind in this movie besides the predictable if lois dies then Superman turns evil or loses all hope. When so many of us want Superman to have an attachment to humanity outside of Lois guts. We don't even see them go on dates, report together or do anything outside of main plot. Which is where her getting captured didnt help plot either

2. Martian Manhunter inclusion feels cheap and unearned when it could have really been something if it made any true sense. Truly feels like he slapped it in there when he couldnt get Green Lantern in. Which duh he couldnt get lantern in cause Johns has plans for it and was easily going to block it

3. Lack of fighting in public or cities due to outcry of Man of Steel destruction even though Marvel would go on to have fights throughout cities. Sewer, Abandoned Island, Russia. So the only time humanity saw Superman in this movie was really fighting league at statue so all those concerns about him being evil would still be there.

He had written himself into so many holes combined with no real control over solos and solo directors being swapped yearly so he never really stood a chance.

Wonder Woman solos have no real connection to plot cause in past, Aquaman isolated to Atlantis, Flash finally coming but its well a mess

But yeah I am happy Zack moved on to his zombie movies
