Side note about adapting the Flash; his costume does not need to be a rubber suit with a million embellishments on the comic costume. He has a suit that can be adapted with 100% accuracy while having fine details that modernizes it for film. It’s like Spidey’s costume. Give that bad boy the right fabric, slight muscles under the spandex, subtle texture pattern and the right shade of red/gold and you’re perfect

Also Alex Ross solved the issue of making the cowl work in real life unlike every live action version that makes it a bulky piece of gear:

• In the first picture, the cowl section is separate and sewn with the surrounding head area, a simple solution to the problem of wrapping the mask around the edges of the head while preserving definition
• Instead of trying to make the eyebrow bridge have a defined shape on the cowl, the eyebrow bridge comes down a bit into the corners of the eyes

This isn’t surprising as Alex Ross also solved the issue of how Spider-Man’s mask would have jaw definition by providing the right shape that would be used as inspiration for the face shell in the Raimi mask. Also when Joss Whedon wanted to do a live action version of Kirby’s Hulk, Ross’s depiction of Kirby was used as a reference
