how the most hyped character we are waiting to return only in like 30 minutes of a 4 hour movie. He uses his powers in a basic way with boring cinematography. Isn't even the superman we deserve after 10 hours. In the future he turns evil because "pregnant lois dies" when even if a drunk driver killed lois he would turn evil he has no consistency or love of humanity just a love of lois. He doesn't even fit in the justice league and just shows up to save them after earlier fighting them and fighting batman. this is why that "I am martha" scene aint work cause he fights them again then in future fights them again. Like aint no one arguing that this is a well developed superman with a straight face. So much potential wasted

He was gonna win then got hit with flash reverse time cause flash got shot and thought of his dad(?) like wtf that dont make no sense. I gave it to them but that whole conclusion could have been tighter. The final fight felt rushed but the ending felt dragged out as f*** then its like "here goes apocalypse", "here goes lex" like bro give us a conclusion
He was just a stereotypical I want to destroy the world strong Alien villain. These type of villains are cliche and its the quality of impact they leave that makes them stand out. When Thanos snapped half the population we all felt that. Steppenwolf didn't have any stand out moment and was forgettable.

They tried to make him good for a moment on some " I let darkseid down I am his uncle the destroyer of worlds codex blah blah". Part of the continued problem was Steppenwolf fighting in sewer and abandoned town.

When thanos snapped I kinda rolled my eyes (but everything before that was better)

Its as if Snyder read that we loved Manhunter and said "see I planned it all along it was that nigga". No martian manhunter plot. No "he was watching batman and superman". No "he was lois and purposely said martha cause he knew it would stop the fighting". Lex Luthor got the plot from the entire movie from the kryptonian ship. No "martian manhunter pretended to be martha cause real martha died". No Martha " lois I never saw you earlier in movie but congrats on pregnancy". No pay off of any kind just " let me string my fans along more so they have mental breakdowns about what could have been. BUY THE BLU RAY AND GET THE STREAMS UP GUYS KEEP SPAMMMING TWITTER"
when the fact remains snyder outside of dc emmerich, johns, hamada at Netflix is what is best for him. he could never make a JL2 under these people so just leave it be
