I wouldn’t go THAT far but I do know what you mean. I just rewatched MOS and those zooms are super jarring but I also think they’re kinda unique and add to the charm?
And obviously gives it a documentary energy during the fights and makes u feel like ur just spectating and trying to keep up with the action rather than calmly being shown it all
It also kinda looks like space shuttle footage or like some news footage for a rocket launch. I dig it

slackTo be completely honest though, WB has been pushing for Riddler to be used as the next Batman villain since The Dark Knight and Heath Ledger’s passing since he would be a similar character. Of course Nolan said no wanted to do something different.
So I’m sure it’s moreso them saying “yeah make a Batman movie but it HAS to have Riddler in it because we’re trying to do someone like Joker but not Joker” for Snyder, Affleck and now Reeves
They do this with almost every major franchise they have including DC. Hell all studios do, it’s how we got Venom in Spider-Man 3 when Raimi didn’t want to

Every Ant Man review: Yes I was sad about Edgar leaving but it still turned out to be amazing.
then you watched the movie and they just ran with Edgar’s blueprint but did absolutely nothing interesting with them.
