Capt America fight scenes are so gassed up man
It’s respectable that a MCU movie actually has stunts for once but holy s*** they are so sloppily edited and filmed
Russos might be the most incompetent hacks to ever direct action sequences

i’m not gonna go crazy and be like Russos the best to ever do it or anything but come on man this is huge cap.
There’s a lot of great action in Winter Solider, Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame
not saying that there isn’t inconsistencies or problems here or there but what?
Ay bro this might be a hot take but Steppenwolf looks better than Darkseid does to me

So far I agree

It’s kinda weird to me cause i don’t wanna constantly s*** on this movie but yeah you’re low-key right.
I feel like Snyder could have done better. doesn’t look awful or anything though
Ok dis was hard as bricks.
"This world will fall like all the others"
Gave me Faora vibes from the Fate of Your Planet trailer.
"For every human you save, we'll kill a million more"

Winter soldier probably has the closest to good action thanks to cool stunt work but the biggest issue with the Russos is how sloppily edited and filmed these sequences are. There’s zero weight to any action scene in their movies as a result.
That entire civil war airport scene feels more like a comedy routine rather than an actual fight scene and it’s so f***ing out of place in a movie that tries to be about political corruption and manipulation that could be devastating for the world order.
Again, the only good thing about them is their willingness to actually have stunt work in their films but they have zero creativity or awareness with action and most of the time they have no idea how to build tension, have stakes, or even do anything that doesn’t just feel like a cheap homage to better action films or just bland fan service that threatens to cheapen the overall story
ima jus assume yall that dont fw darkseid design never read a jack kirby comic in yo life

You mean in terms of the quality of CGI or you mean he just looks more interesting? Because that Steppenwolf armor is hard

But he wasn't darkseid yet tho right?

John Wick directors ghost directed the non cgi action scenes in Civil War. I can't tell you what the Russos actually do in those MCU films.
They'd probably still be directing lame comedies if Feige didn't help rebrand them.

In terms of the design itself. Whedons Step looked like a jabroni, but THIS ONE? Bro looks hard as bricks

Criticisms on the tonal inconsistency of the airport fight is fair but doesn’t really focus too much on the actual fight choreography
Which admittedly is a bit all over the place.
But come on
Cap v Crossbones
Cap & Bucky v Stark
All of the Titan Battles
Idk man i heavily disagree
ima jus assume yall that dont fw darkseid design never read a jack kirby comic in yo life
the design is great, the CGI on the other hand looks very cartoony but I'm not complaining. I know the visual effects in this will be inconsistent.

idk though, I think there is more to choreography than s*** just looking cool. Again the stunt work and actual hand to hand choreography is appreciated but i never believe it. You look at movies like Mission Impossible or The Raid and those action scenes are so much more believable and intense because there is atleast a scale and/or stakes established.
