How do you define value in a communist society?

Capitalism functions on value being defined by the owner of the product / the means of production

If everyone has the same means of production then in theory you might reach some homeostasis where everyone is essentially contributing equally

But the problem is any small stochastic change in the ability to produce would inherently create a bias in value which would feedback into itself unless you literally made it illegal to have some higher amount of production or resources.

This would restrict the rate of industrialization, which could be good, however in circumstances where theres a great need to accelerate production you encounter a huge problem

Its a neat idea but i dont think its as advanced or superior as some might. For all we know if capitalism never came around some plague or famine would kill everyone because we lack an apparatus to generate new products fast enough to keep up with population size and natural disasters

I can either spend a week toiling thru understanding all of these terms and concepts or i can watch a 40 minute video and understand the essence of a complicated topic in a day
