i mean yeah i’m definitely putting romulus and 28 years later above this
I agree on Romulus, I still need to see 28 Years Later
this really reminded me of kong skull island but it’s been so long since I’ve seen that I couldn’t tell you which is better

You switch your F1 ticket for tonight?
To me it was the same level as the first JW. Felt neutered a bit, like it could have gone further.
For classic franchise reboots, Alien Romulus>>>>> Jurassic World Rebirth
Agreed
This was just okay. Pretty generic and by the numbers which is really disappointing to be honest, I mean we are what? Like 7 films in now?? this one reminds me a bit of Jurassic Park 3.
Edwards did a solid job with the direction. Movie looks great. The dinosaur and action sequences are some of the best of the entire Jurassic World series. A few genuinely scary moments as well which is what I want to experience in a Jurassic film.
Unfortunately, that all is surrounded by a truly awful script. Most jokes fell flat. All of the emotional beats did. The dialogue was painfully unconvincing, stuffed with exposition and backstory. At times it dips all the way into being groan inducing. Some insane moments of plot armor in this movie as well, even for this franchise.
Feels much more akin to the original two sequels than any of the films in the Jurassic World series, complete with all of their failings. I’m sure a lot of fans will love that, but I was hoping for more.
C-Tier max
It was funny they explained why the dinosaurs were living near the equator three times in the first ten minutes 😂. With on screen text, in the car with Scarlett, and then again with that cartoon. Like we got it. I feel like it happened again with them on the boat but I don’t remember exactly.

It did happen again on the boat! It was driving me insane

not sure if you mean just like the initial casting news but those trailers are awful. showed nothing interesting or creative or new.
I saw an idea somewhere where someone said they should just have the dinosaurs like literally take over the world like they do in planet of the apes? I think that would be something cool to do as a way to end this franchise and let it be dormant for a while until they come up with a good enough story or idea to reboot it
Yeah that’s about right
https://twitter.com/discussingfilm/status/1939721522765279309up to 60% now

The last trilogy tried to do that and the new movie completely walks it back lol
