  • I hate it when casuals be treating this classic like its "some good movie with dinosaurs in it". Good? This s*** is a masterpiece!

The opening? Why aren't more people talk about the f***ing opening? This s*** is PERFECT. How Stevie teases us and doesnt show the whole raptor The man gave us Jaws, he knows what he's doing.

    Also, Laura Dern

The screenplay is so f***ing tight, classic storytelling right there. Just look at the way the Raptors are introduced. You got Grant talking about how they hunt when he's digging up bones and s***, then later you got the egg hatching scene, immediately followed up with them being fed and so on.

Grant first half of the movie:

The triceratops looks REAL. You actually feel sorry for him being sick and s***

The entire T-Rex sequence When the glass of water starts to vibrate

Another little thing i love: When they get Ian Malcom and drive off with the car and getting chased by the T-Rex, its sort of a little call back to earlier when Hammond told them he meassured the T-Rex's speed.

The movie is filled with great and iconic shots, blockbusters these days wish they could pull that off, a lot of the time it just feels inorganic.

Spielberg really knows how to create tension. Late in the movie he pulls off another horror like sequence with the Raptors in the kitchen. This man doesnt miss

    CLASSIC.

Another thing: At first, i didnt liked how the T-Rex saved them at the end, but after thinking about it, it actually fits in with the "chaos-theory" theme. Or am i reaching?

Can't believe that ANYONE had the nerve to think that a sequel or follow up would ever come close to this masterpiece. Just as good as Jaws IMO, the scene when the T-Tex was introduced is legitimately one of the most iconic movie scenes ever

They're doin another sequel w/ the OG cast right?

  • The movie has so many setups and they follow through with pay off.

    • Grant describing how the raptors hunt, and then we see it when they kill the hunter dude
    • Hammond saying Trex can run at 40 mph and then we see it
    • Ian saying nature finds a way, and then we see that when the Raptors change s***to mate
    • the girl says a line about her computer skills or something and then we see it come in handy when she closes the doors

Don’t wanna sound like a conspiracy nut but most dinosaurs don’t even exist breh

Literally all the bones you see in the museums are fake and made by Scientific theories , as far as the “dinosaur bones “ they find , they’re literally just a bone of a leg or a random bone in general , they use scientific THEORIES to assume what it looked like , the T. rex could’ve been a giant chicken for all we know , surprised this isn’t a bigger deal to people

The gymnastic scene is one of the most ridiculous scenes I've ever witnessed in a movie, lol.
