he’s saying the girl he flew out is taking sand home as a souvenir like shes at some luxury beach resort in turks and caicos when really they prolly just in hawaii or some s*** and she just isn’t rich enough/well travelled enough to know any better/going to some random beach to her feels like a luxury but it’s nothing to drake.

AGoodBoyoReason I don’t put him in that Kenny Cole Hov list is purely because he has no interest in making album that’s says anything. His entire strategy is being a hit maker and proving his various styles to make all fans happy. I get it and accept it.
But I clearly give Drake a pass in my post because even if he’s doing super cringy gen z raps like Jumbotron, he can still do something impressive like middle of the ocean.

I said 2009-2015, because no one ever mentions anything pre-So Far Gone. Even Drake himself doesn’t acknowledge those projects anymore (they’re not on streaming and not on his website where he has all of his projects since SFG listed). The Drake as we know him today’s career started with that mixtape.
And I said 2016-2022, meaning Views to CLB.

Been saying this. It’s no coincidence that the last “magical” Drake smash as a lead artist was In My Feelings. The guy is chilling on that front (understandably so too, he achieved everything he wanted commercially after Scorpion and that effort to constantly make those “magical” hits for years is exhausting)
