just finished season 2 and that was absolute gas. banger episode after banger episode. I’ll be there in theaters for the Compliation movie and first two episodes of s3
The people not being able to hate on JJK modulo because everyone having to admit gege always was a great writer lmao

He just really fumbled that ending. I wonder why he got tired of the story? Was it health issues as usual for mangaka?
JJK never had amazing animation. They will use low detailed faces with dot eyes whenever they can. That S2 scene where Megumi sends the bunnies after Toji a good example, could have been done way better
Art style =/= animation
JJK animation is amazing. Their art style step down S2 because of crunch time

Seemingly based on his comments - yes
Which is super disappointing bc even most of the way through the ending stuff was still fun just weirdly underwhelming? Idk

Yeah, he wanted to end the story (stated he wanted to move on) and got extremely unhealthy to the point he barely could do it anymore either (hospitalized and deteriorating condition without many long breaks), and I guess decided to wrap it up with not the most satisfying conclusion but still a decent one nonetheless. But it wasn’t terrible, just as you said underwhelming. I am the biggest JJK fan, and knew there was more potential but can’t fault Gege for being sick. And to be clear this was really after 265, since that is JJK’s best chapter lol so only 6 chapters were meh/disappointing. but Modulo has been peak and shows he just needed a break.

Yeah but I feel he can kinda fix some things with modulo. It’s shaping out so well. I believe in him to make this a masterclass success.
I’m super excited for whatever manga he does after JJK too. He has had my favorite pen in shonen since JJK. Dark and gritty, with good storytelling, stakes, and character writing.
Now he’s getting into world building more, and lore development. I love it.

I think for me it’s almost worse that it was such an underwhelming/ meh ending. Like it’s just a wet fart after sooo much great build up and fun twists / turns. I was obsessed with jjk reading weekly and then the ending happened and I can’t be miffed now
Felt like so many cool puzzle pieces or ideas were set up and then never expounded upon but overall I agree. The ending arc didnt really lose me until like the very last few chapters, it’s just for whatever reason it makes me look down on the journey and quality of the show / manga as a whole now

Trust me, I was that way too. Took a break from even checking out anything JJK. I then just remembered how it was so good, and talked myself into understanding the ending better because I genuinely didn’t get how lukewarm it was. But after getting the significance of some of it, I knew it was just some quick epilogue and just compare the ending to most shonen now, so JJK just didn’t finish special, but average (again only 266 to 271). But I now love the previous story again, and I think it is because Modulo has been amazing.
And I also have some hope the anime will fix that Hakari vs Uruame fight, because those last 6 chapters gave me whiplash with how abrupt s*** was lol
It’s sad it didn’t get the ending it should’ve, but I don’t blame it on Gege failing so much anymore, but just he was f***ing sick and just did what he could.
I overheated the ending too just because how epic everything else was, like we went from 100 straight to 0 quickly. But it wasn’t an AOT type of ending that ruined the entire plot for some people lol
New season coming to theaters?
Yes. A highlight of major fights throughout Shibuya and the first two episodes of S3 is being made into a movie.
Dabura is too good of a character so far. I really hope Gege lands his characterization perfectly. Has the chance to be one of my favorites
