JJK never had amazing animation. They will use low detailed faces with dot eyes whenever they can. That S2 scene where Megumi sends the bunnies after Toji a good example, could have been done way better

Things don't need to be detailed especially during crunch times. Animators often do that to streamline the animation to focus on movement and not be bogged down by meticulous details. The szn overall moved away from the detailed fabrics to focus on better animation.

Literally wasting resources and manpower on bullshit. There is a specific reason why some aspects of animation become less detailed during big fights and that’s because it allows you to focus more on choreography, movement, and overall fluidity of the scene. That goes for many series unless like detail and realism is a focal point of the art direction like chainsaw man season 1
