Yeah I agree, I’m unsure what tf is going to happen next chapter. I think it’s safer to just think it’s a ghost and that Sukuna is started to hallucinate from being almost dead. But you know what would be amazing callback? If Kenjaku asked him if he needed help like Mahito lol also would mean he showed up right after Yuji and Todo teamed up again

If it’s a ghost, then we know Sukuna will hit the panic button and something will happen or he dies. If it’s Kenjaku, then he reinherits the merger, and can cause mayhem and do a post fight lore dump on his plans. Everything else makes no sense

What I think gonna happen

Gojos goal was to have índependent students that can surpass him and invest in the next generation. Sukuna will realize that if he loses here it will be a win for Gojo who bet everything into the next generation. Meanwhile Sukuna has nobody to pick up his torch since he never lived for anybody

He had a great showing in the fight and he’s the second strongest in the manga and did serious damage which helped everyone be able to fight Sukuna. Even though he’s dead, his contributions are still showing in every chapter damn near. They mention how Sukuna is trying to recoup due to his fight with Gojo all the time

I hope Gege pulls a bullshit ass move for GOJO Sukuna has been having too many asspulls.
