Weird how cyclical jjk sometimes is

Sukuna uses fire arrow, Choso realizes Yuji is his brother, Choso has weird dinner hallucination, Sukuna destroys entire city, Yuji witnesses death of trusted companion (nanami, Choso), Todo arrives proclaiming he is not sure about the safety of the other allies

It’s definitely intentionally cyclical to show Todo will always arrive when Yuji needs it most. I love that so much. We could’ve expected this but still no one predicted it.

Gege loves making his own call backs which makes rewatching knowing “oh this will be thematic”, more enjoyable.

The fact that they keep plans a secret from yuji to not reveal them to Sukuna opens up this possibility even more

Yo I just realized - Nobara got taken out of the story by a split Mahito. At the moment there are a lot of shared traits (familiar and skill-wise) between Yuji and Sukuna. So, Nobara being reintroduced now would be an interesting mirroring of events

Before, I wasn't so convinced that Gege was going to reintroduce her into the story, simply because so much time had passed. But now I think he def will.

That I don’t know. Does he get a free reincarnation? Or does he just incarnate in Sukuna’s body? I feel he just will get to reincarnate himself since they are separating the cursed object from the Megumi, but they aren’t destroying the cursed object so I have no idea how Sukuna really gets defeated now that I think about it.

Sukuna having a cooking themed technique was theorized for a very long time but I didn’t expect the actuality of it would be so basic when confirmed by Gege. Thought there would be more than just dismantle, cleave, fire.

Also in case it wasn’t painfully obvious these last two chapters confirm that Gojo clears Heian era Sukuna.

Literally the opposite. First time their domains clashed Gojo had no infinity up due to burnout is exactly when the flames wouldve activated and Gojo woudve been burned to death. Sukuna wanted to play the domain battle to use mahoraga

I loved the Gojo and Sukuna fight but its time we admit that Sukuna was well in control until Gojo defeated that weird 10S summon and the narrator told us he felt fear for the first time in 1000 years and I believe its because of the blackflashes. Basically sukuna had no idea what Gojo got out of hitting 4 blackflashes. Gojo couldve very well regained his domain expansion like sukuna just did. Its going against something completely unexpected

Sidenote too but I love that Sukuna has only 1 technique at a time. Sure he technically used 10S but the way it was written he used primarily 10S against Gojo and only used cleave against the rest. OG sukuna also seems to only have 1 technique now since the flames are part of it. Wouldve hated it if it was a Kenjaku situation and Sukuna just kept showing more and more CT outta nowhere. So far the meme that he keep unlocking new techniques is actually bullshit altho it was funny for a bit
