It definitely has something to do with the SoundFX because we never see Gordy attack really,and when everyone is just laid out and Gordy doesn't even gaf about what he just did. Its very disturbing

Jul 23, 2022Avaa bad miracle. Also something to make him not look at Gordy while he was attacking everything else. I think so he could associate it with something of a spectacle rather then traumatic.

It’s mission was to abduct the Aywoods and project the jockey footage onto its fabric movie screen like flesh, and return them safely to be inspired and reminded to carry the family legacy successfully. The Aywoods never understood this and instead decided to go to war with it and in the end kill the beast that was their own kin. Pretty twisted way of interpreting it but this is what I feel after 2 viewings.

I came in late to my first showing and started with the scene of OJ and pops in the field. The Gordy scene hit differently with his rampage revealed mid movie rather than using a snippet of the same scene at the beginning, wish that wasn’t how it was cut seeing it from start the 2nd time.

Also the scene where pops is talking about Ghost acting out and being territorial was a double meaning with this theory in mind seeing as angels and ghosts are interchangeable.

Man I just got out of my 2nd watch in IMAX and honestly, I did not fully process this film the first go round at all. Bruh this s*** is genius man like 4real 4real. This whole concept of the spectacle as a predator and how it’s used as a metaphor for the invention of the white gaze and our addiction to attention and it’s ties to exploitation. How some are drawn to it, seek it out (emerald) and others so recluse they cant even speak towards its attention in a room (OJ) notice how the black horse luckh freaked when it first saw its reflection! Notice how the white horse ghost was always seeking it! The father even claimed he was acting out, being territorial. Ghost was eaten but lucky never was! This s\*\*\* touches on so many things bro. Look at the pieces they used to map out that plan bro...it was monopoly! I caught symbolisms the 2nd time around I didn’t even realize were there! What the film is saying is actually clear as day! This s*** is brilliant!

I only watched first trailer and seems much of fun was trailer fake out so I feel I had a different experience because nothing shocked me

Everyone has different tastes but I don't get how anyone could come out of that movie thinking it sucks. At the very least, it's an average movie with great directing, cinematography, and acting.
I liked the movie but came away wanting a bit more and felt a little let-down after the build-up. I don't know if I'd ever watch it again or need to watch it again but I'm glad I saw it once.
Jul 23, 2022properbro i have to experience this everytime i watch a movie in theaters cause one of my best friends always watches movies hella perked up on d**** and has to add his little commentary throughout the entire film even when i tell him to stfu he can’t help himself cause the d**** make him giddy n s***. s*** mad embarrassing when ppl sit next to us cause they constantly looking over at us and like clearing their throats tryna give my friend a sign.

Jul 23, 2022Delete this nowThe movie was great but I couldn’t hear half of it clearly because people don’t know how to act in public anymore. The guy to my left was facetiming during the movie, checking his phone constantly and didn’t even have it on silent so u heard every text and his iphone making typing noises and the three ladies next to my group just talked at full volume over every scene in the movie where they were talking. This is my first time going to the theatre post pandemic and it will be the last. Wish I hadn’t spoiled a great movie with that environment.
Yeah that’s about the only time I’ll be really confrontational in a public setting

Definitely much better than Us. It's a cool summer flick. Very reminiscent of those old school 60s sci-fi thrillers. A bit predictable to me but that's mostly because my dad had me growing up on those kinda movies. Was able to spot the tropes pretty quick.
