his most beautiful film, and a more interesting world and story than us had (to me) but i did leave the theater wanting more. maybe like one more scene to wrap up the story and some more exposition because a few things felt under-addressed

The movie was great but I couldn’t hear half of it clearly because people don’t know how to act in public anymore. The guy to my left was facetiming during the movie, checking his phone constantly and didn’t even have it on silent so u heard every text and his iphone making typing noises and the three ladies next to my group just talked at full volume over every scene in the movie where they were talking. This is my first time going to the theatre post pandemic and it will be the last. Wish I hadn’t spoiled a great movie with that environment.

Not what they wanted it to look like, what WE wanted it to look like. It was a pretty basic UFO design but turned out to be much more

But yeah they definitely all connect because Jordan Peele main message is showing the real monster is humans. I mean we kept watching all these humans keep provoking the UFO as if it’s a toy that you can make do tricks. Same thing with Gordy the monkey. Same thing with owning the horses. When you think about it the idea of owning horses to use for races and to do tricks is actually a really f\*\*\*ed up concept that lowkey connects to slavery in its own way. We own these animals to make em do what we want and make money off them rather than just letting em run free in the wilderness

Nah y’all are sleeping on the shot of Daniel in his truck when it was dark af and all you could really see was his eyes. That silhouette was crazy because it showcased the horror || he was witnessing all from his eyes || which eyes plays a very important role in the movie

The music choice was unique as well, in scenes where it was highly suspenseful and OJ might die running from the UFO I recall they played some like light Indiana jones type music rather than suspenseful scores. It showcased to me OJ was calm headed and in control the whole time

Idk how you guys theater showed it but my theater made it seem like the movie was starting, the lights went out, they did the whole “phones off the movie is starting” ad, but then all sudden showed the trailer after

I absolutely love the mix of amazement and horror in the soundtrack
Really reminded me of classic Spielberg soundtracks, which of course was composed by John Williams

I do sometimes talk during a movie if I’m wit the homies but it’s a whisper in they ear if some like crazy twist happens that I notice just cus all of us like to a***yze movies and all that
