Ngl I read the leaks and they sounded disappointing but the execution was phenomenal

The characters carry the movie just a much as the monster

Ngl,the reason i gave it a 9/10 is cause i could feel the movie falling off a lil in the beginning of the 2nd half but that climax sequence saves everything

when they finally figure out noise and attention attracts this thing and everyone gears up and attempts to bait this thing to get it on film

I was a***yzing hard on my walkout in my head LOL but to me I thought it was kinda like a cyclical idea of Yeun’s character reliving this trauma by not learning from his past, and same with the actress being at the event but now as audience to it. He was on this show with an unpredictable predator being paraded as an entertainment spectacle that had horrible consequences that he was full witness to, and later sees a financial opportunity in putting on a show where he shows off an unpredictable predator as an entertainment spectacle. I think he knew it had malicious intent cus he talked about the horses disappearing during the act/initial event, and he lied to Daniel’s character about him being able to get Lucky back. might be overthinking it though !

I was expecting more to it but 4DX was a hit for this . I wouldn’t go in expecting psychological twist or deep meaning as Us and get out

I know a good movie when i see it and don't just watch movies when im bored,most movies are a true waste of time.

This is a movie made for blockbuster audiences too their perspective matters as well !

Super unique performances like i said. For this type of movie,you never really see black people depicted as more everyday and down to earth. Their either obviously written by a white guy way too over the top or they have to be impossible geniuses

Also I care 10x more what my casual friend thinks about a movie like this than a KTT Kino user

Think I've come to the slight conclusion that the monkey scene means alot of things,but one of them is definitely the fact that the baloons popping and it being the monkeys natural habitat to just go wild makes me think that a bunch of those aliens have visited earth a bunch throughout history(and they've been defeated before)till the point monkeys in the NOPE universe automatically recognize balloons popping as a threat naturally.

I also think it helped set up that Steven Yeun's character thinks he could control the alien because he was the only one who didn't get attacked when the chimp was out of control. It didn’t seem to affect him traumatically but left him seeking out that feeling of taming danger
