He definitely is. People watch his movies because his name is attached to it and trust his vision and knows his style for filmmaking. I would say that is definition of an A list director. Same with the movies he produced. His name is the brand for those movies

3 movies he has directed made average of 225M with budget of 30M so I would say he is up there or atleast close. People go watch his movies with his name being the biggest draw rn.

His movies are also mainly for American audiences so def a A lister in US.

Marvel were in a MUCH different place when they were working with Edgar and Raimi, they’ve lost a lot of that goodwill they used to have and their #1 competition is knocking on the door

I don’t think they’re gonna approach creating post-Secret Wars with the same philosophies that they had beforehand

Plus, like the movies or not, Marvel kinda took the reins off a bit this year with Thunderbolts* and Fantastic Four. I seriously doubt they would work with Peele and think that he would be okay with not having complete control
