Feel like this reflects worse on the DA tho. If they have the evidence just provide it all early and get the trial over with. Majors' team hasn't attempted to delay the proceedings at all and seem set. We already know their argument, potential evidence and witnesses.

I think they're just kicking the can down the road to buy time for more ways to angle him being bad. I don't know how much actual evidence they're relying on if the defense is the one using hours of videos, timestamps, texts, cop cams, car and bar witnesses, etc...

It's desperation. They provided short notice while claiming they're still gathering evidence. It's them who aren't ready for trial on misdemeanor charges

Also, apparently NYPD still wants to arrest the girl when she arrives back in the U.S? Didn't know her being away was the hold up

The NYPD is seeking to arrest Jabbari when she returns to the US from the UK, where she lives. That means Jabbari could be arrested as a domestic assault suspect even when she turns up in court to be a witness in her own domestic violence case against Majors.
