I think MBJ is a dope movie star man, like he's not the deepest method actor but he got a varied enough filmography that I respect.

Played a cowardly snitch on The Wire, played Oscar Grant in Fruitvale Station, played the underdog protagonist in Creed, and the charismatic villain in Black Panther.

Plus Creed 3 made bread so he's looking like a bankable star

I definitely agree with this. I don’t think he’s the best actor, definitely hated his role in BP lol but he’s done enough dope s*** like the others you mentioned and just seems like a dope dude as a person.

And that was a really good directorial debut

He’s more praised for his looks and personality rather than his acting. His acting isn’t anything special imo. His most interesting tuff was fruitvale station

Fantastic 4 was just genuinely awful, and also bit from Akira. Same directors too I think
