As an expert manipulator myself, I can tell you, telling someone “you don’t have to, but…” is just a yo-yo string. You can be insecure and a manipulator. They’re not mutually exclusive.

its rlly interesting how passionate ppl are abt the social media aspect of this. like the most outrage is directed at how he's asking her to use ig, getting her to delete old posts and restricting the kinds of posts she's allowed to make. his requests regarding this sht are seen as absurd, or completely beyond reason.
this is so interesting to me because it implies that unrestricted social media access is like a basic human right, like someone is unable to live a fulfilling life without unrestricted access to ig

it's interesting to me how social media usage is seen as non-negotiable. personally, I don't see anything wrong with wanting to control how u post, and I don't see anything wrong with then discussing that with ur partner, even asking them to control how they post too. of course, if ur forcing them to follow ur rules, that's f***ed up. forcing ur partner to do anything is f***ed up. but short of that, I don't see an issue
i think the internet sees this as non-negotiable because most of these people are social media addicts lol. its like a dope fiend's crackhead friends being mad at his girl when she starts telling him he cant shoot up no more. ok, thats an exaggeration, but i hope u see my point lol
