This is what I said too. Of all places: why is she only now just tweeting about this incident? Why is there no lawsuit? Why haven't any of these supposed "celebrity gossip" pages written about this, and so on? Not doubting that this incident ever happened and will gladly join the FUCK JONAH HILL gang if proven guilty. However - for now this is somewhat of a skeptical incident. People nowadays are fast to assume the worst. Let's see how it plays out.

Saw a published writer and journalist with credentials ranging from NYT to LAT and every online publication in between taken down by a woman alleging rape on twitter.

In his college years some 10 years previously there was noise about it. His father, a wealthy businessman and published author out of LA attempted to pay it off. His son’s mugshot online when you Google his name. Both of their social media presences fully locked down to this day.

The guy is now holed up in some backwoods nowhere state writing a book about mental health and another about the environment for the redemption arc. RIP.

While this is true and I agree to some extent, I don't think the first reaction should be that its fake, it would way more likely be true especially if someone has the courage to do it on such a public platform and put their name on it

Its almost like seeing other people come forth with stories similar to your own may give you more courage to talk about it
