“Cop out”…it’s literally the director of the movie…he’s explaining his vision and it makes sense

No it doesn’t. It would make sense if he never called himself Joker. In this universe the “joker persona” is something Arthur created. He literally is Joker. So yes it’s a cop out to turn around like “ahaaa gotcha he’s not THE joker just an inspiration”

And like Fader said earlier THE Batman Joker isn’t a copy-cat villain. So based off what Todd is saying basically the Batman joker steals Arthur’s entire persona.

If the actual goal was to make a movie about “a character who inspired the Joker” then they should’ve never called it Joker and remove the face paint. Just make a movie about Arthur with some Joker-like qualities.

Did they really sing in every scene?

Noo. It’s fairly often but there are still lots of talking regular acting scenes. Most of the film is non singing

There is virtually no reason to see this movie.

If you liked Joker 1, you’ll be disappointed.

If you didn’t like Joker 1, you’ll hate this.

If you like the character of Joker, you’ll be bored out of your mind.

If you don’t like the character of Joker, there isn’t anything that this movie will do to change your mind.

If you like musicals, you’ll be annoyed with how inconsistent and random the musical elements are.

If you don’t like musicals, you’ll be annoyed when a character randomly starts singing every five minutes.

If you like big budget blockbusters, you will fall asleep halfway through this movie.

If you like arthouse films, you will spend this movie’s runtime thinking of more interesting films you could be watching.

Literally who is the audience for this movie man

Damn best description of the movie
